For anyone who regularly cooks for a family, though, is might prove too small and limited in function. I highly recommend it as a no-nonsense machine for small jobs. This is an amazing little machine, easy to assemble, easy to operate. (It doesn't puree, for example;I have a blender, though, so this doesn't matter). (I ordered it from Amazon; it came within 4 days). The instructions are very specific and clear. I live alone and seldom cook for more than 2 people, so it's ideal for me.
I tried the cuisinart DLC-2ABC and find it very easy to use. I had a mini food processor which was very difficult to unscrew from the base.
Bought one for myself a while back and use it much more that I use my full size cuisinart.My Grandson just bought a condo and knew he HAD to have one of these.
She tells me it is just what she wanted and needed. I bought this for my daughter-in-law for Christmas.
Seems to cut stuff to smithereens in like 2 seconds. Can't get the thing to seat onto the base easily. Which makes it hard to make a decent pico using the thing.Probably deserves 2 stars but I'm giving it 1 to balance out all the overly positive reviews. Piece of garbage. Super annoying to reassemble after washing.
